Derek Buikema is an average Midwestern boy.  Born to two Dutch parents in 1984, Derek has become the proud inventor of such things as the hearing aid, tofu, crosswalks, "pop culture", and indelible ink.  In his spare time he enjoys "hanging out".  He currently resides in Wheaton, IL with a family not his own.

Derek Buikema (Fall 2004 - Spring 2007) performed with Imaginary Friends for three years, during which time he also served as the club's president.
