After training and performing with Improv Etc in Naperville IL, Liz
Thompson founded wheatonIMPROV in the fall of 2002 and its original
troupe Left Field. Director and president for the troupe's first two
years, Liz set out to provide a place for creative types to glorify
God through laughter and community.
In 2006 Liz began pursuing improv and sketch writing at Second City
and iO (formerly improvOlympic) in Chicago. She has performed sketch
comedy at Second City's Donny's Skybox theatre, is a graduate of the
iO training program, and continues to coach Wheaton College's improv
troupe and side projects during the school year. Liz plays with
Robitz, Monsters and Friends and the Playground troupe "Stranger For a
Day." She adores coaching Faux Posse, and feels blessed to see the
breathtaking and creative community Wheaton Improv has grown to be.
Liz Thompson (Fall 2002 - Fall 2004) founded wheatonIMPROV and its first troupe Left Field. She was a founding member of Imaginary Friends and served as club director and president for two years.
