Marty is the fifth-funniest member of a family of five. His favorite movie is "Grosse Pointe Blank," which informs a surprisingly large part of his playing.
He loves improv because in no other setting would it be considered appropriate for him to proclaim his most embarrassing secrets to a crowd of people whom he doesn't know - which is great because he gets to have some sort of catharsis without any kind of follow-up psychological referral.
Onstage, he will occasionally speak at an incredible rate of speed. This usually means that his character is approaching, at, or just beyond his/her mental, spiritual, or emotional breaking point. In real life, this never happens.
In addition to Improv, Marty loves Philosophy, playing the drums, and other types of theater and acting*. (This is an inexhaustive list concerning hobbies and interests, just so you don't get the idea that his life is incredibly unbalanced for not having God, Family, and Friends at the top of his "loves" list... it's a little "L" loves thing, is all.)
If you run into him sometime, all he could really hope for is that your day was made a little brighter - if, for no other reason, then because of his self-disclosure issues.
